Northeast US Technical Account Manager
Reports to: Director of Sales
Location: Account Manager located in MA, CT, NY, NJ, PA or MD
SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
We are looking for a very motivated, self-organize life science sales representative to support current customers, expand current business and build new customer base for cell biology, stem cell, neurobiology research product and services marketplace. Focus areas will include: account development including developing new opportunities for current and new products and services as well as increasing penetration in existing accounts, supporting customers and monitoring competitive activity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for all cell biology research product and service in the Northeast with concentration in the Boston, New York and Maryland regions.
- Develop and manage a list of current and potential customers via follow ups, networking, prospecting, cold calling, customer referrals, etc.
- Meet the quarterly and annual sales goals.
- Maintain customer contact lists and organize appointments and proposals.
- Follow up with the customer on a regular basis to ensure customer satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences
- At least three (3) years of experience in Life Science research product sales.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Northeast US to visit customers and attend meetings.
- Strong background in Biological Sciences, preference to cell biology including stem cell and neural biology
- Highly organized with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excels in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Skilled in the art of sales and closing the deal.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
